Once your complaint has been received, it will be processed within no more than 10 days, failing which you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt. If necessary, you will receive a reply within two months.
If you are not satisfied with the answer you receive, please note that in accordance with article L156-1 of the French Consumer Code, the Insurance Mediation officer is competent to intervene in any dispute that cannot be settled by means of a complaint lodged directly with your broker.

Protection des données personnelles
In accordance with Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulation, the processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of the insurance contract you have taken out or for the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request.
Data controller / Subcontractors / Recipients
Within the limits of your requests (subscription, enrolment, information, administration, execution of the contract) SAM collects from you data concerning you for the strict purposes described below.
SAM is the data controller. The personal data collected may be transmitted to the following persons:
- the Insurer of the contract and all the companies in the groups to which it belongs,
- public sector institutions,
- data processors operating under the responsibility of our commercial partners or SAM: subcontractors, technical consultants, experts, lawyers, claims adjusters, repairers, service providers, doctors, and delegated service companies (claims, IT, postal services, document management).
Commitments
SAM respects the following guiding rules:
- Your personal datas are only used for explicit, legitimate and specific purposes related to our activity,
- only the personal datas we need are collected,
- your personal datas will not be stored for any longer than is necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, or than is required by the standards and authorisations of the CNIL or by law,
- your personal data will only be shared with partners (intermediaries, insurers, reinsurers, service providers or authorised professional institutions) who require it for the purposes of our activities,
- we inform you, in a clear and transparent manner, whether when drawing up a quotation, taking out or subscribing to a contract or managing a claim, in particular about the purpose for which your personal data will be used, the optional or compulsory nature of your answers in the forms and your rights in terms of data protection.
Purposes
All personal data collected is used solely for the following purposes:
- building up customer and prospect databases,
- the contracting, administration (including administration on a commercial basis) and performance of your insurance contracts,
- the prevention of money laundering and the financing of terrorism, with the introduction of a monitoring system for contracts that may lead to the filing of a suspicious transaction report or the freezing of assets,
- the prevention of insurance fraud, which can lead to the inclusion of individuals on a list of people at risk of fraud,
- the collection of personal data relating to offences, convictions and security precautions, either at the time of taking out or subscribing to the insurance contract, or during its performance, or in the context of managing disputes,
- the analysis of all or part of the personal data collected, possibly cross-referenced with that of selected partners, to improve our products (research and development), assess or predict your situation (appetence scores) and personalise your customer experience (targeted offers and advertising).
We are legally bound to check that your details are accurate, complete and, if necessary, updated. We may ask you to verify this or to complete your file.
Security
We are committed to ensuring the security of your personal data by implementing enhanced data protection measures through the use of physical and logical security measures that comply with best practice and the standards imposed on us.
Hosting
We host all your data in France. When your data is transferred to a partner who hosts the data abroad, we ensure that the partner complies with the rules laid down by the regulations.
Your rights
- Right of access: allows you to obtain information about your personal data and to find out what datas are stored, for what purposes they are processed and by whom. For example, you have the right to access your personal data.
- Right of rectification: allows you to have inaccurate personal data rectified and incomplete data completed.

Right to be forgotten: this allows you, subject to certain conditions, to obtain the deletion of your personal data, in particular in the following cases:
- if your personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was processed and if its retention no longer meets legal or administrative requirements.
- if you withdraw your consent to their processing.
- Right to object: this allows you, subject to certain conditions, to object at any time to the processing of your personal data, and in particular to the use of such data for prospecting purposes.
- Right to restrict processing: this allows you, subject to certain conditions, to restrict the processing of your personal data, i.e. the use made of it. For example, if your data is inaccurate, you can request that it be restricted until it has been corrected.
- Right to portability: allows you to request the transmission of your personal data in an easily reusable format and to pass it on to a third party.
- Advance instructions: allows you to define instructions concerning the fate of your personal data after your death.

Retention period
Personal datas are stored by SAM for a period of five (5) years from the date of termination of membership or in accordance with the specific conditions set out below:
- In the case of a claim – five (5) years from the date of settlement of the claim.
- In the case of a claim involving bodily injury – ten (10) years from the date of the claim.
- For any information on complaints- five (5) years from receipt of the complaint.
- For any information on the insurance contract – five (5) years from expiry, cancellation or termination.
Specific periods may apply for tax and accounting purposes, in accordance with current regulations.
Personal datas will not be stored for longer than is necessary. They will be kept only for the purposes for which they were obtained.
